Times like these...

make me think I should have gone with a fording kit and skipped radios. :D In the path. Winds picking up and it's cooled down quite a bit. Hatches have been battened and loose items have been stowed. Not too worried about surge but the amount of rain could cause some problems. Think I'll do some yard work this morning before the rains start.

Good news though. Just got in a new total station/scanner for work. Pretty slick. Not a true scanner but still does up to approx. 26,600 points per second. For those knowlegable in survey work, we can get a 360 dome scan of an area out to about 2000 ft in 12 minutes on an extremely high resolution and once done can then measure from any point to any other in the point cloud. Kind of like Guy's scanner for parts but for much larger areas. Can publish the info to the cloud for clients to view and take measurements, etc. May scan the mutt in the near future and make public for the hell of it.

I hope all goes well and you do not end up losing the new equipment to water!! That is just a step above what I saw when I was a rod man in the 70's!!!!

More good news... while I did not have any of my shooters make it past state level this year (they were close - horseshoes & hand grenades), looks like Louisiana took 1st place in the 4H Shooting Sports Nationals this year!

Lucky here. One piece of siding messed up, One bad section of fence needs repair work. Yard cleaned up. Just waiting on electric company to restore power. 29+ hrs. Usual routine will have us probably measuring high water marks around the area tomorrow.

From what I have seen you are going to measuring some very high marks. Glad you yourself did not get swamped.
