Traveling route 66 in mid June

Unread post by Rossco » May 29th, 2019, 7:07 am

Hi all
I will be flying into Chicago in early June forva month to drive route 66 from Chicago to LA. We plan to start off with a side trip to Indianapolis and then up to Detroit to see the Ford museum. Are there any military related museums, collections, military surplus outlets in the area or on route 66 worth a visit?

I'd suggest the 45th Infantry Museum in OKC. A little side trip to FT Sill Artillery Museum. Also in OKC is the Cowboy Hall of Fame.
