Lets get Rick on a rant!

Unread post by m3a1 » May 25th, 2019, 4:11 pm

Saw one of these today, loaded down with a couple of nine oh two one oh types. Had a license plate on it and everything.

https://www.oreionmotors.com

It was kind of awkward looking little side-by-side. Not nearly as pretty as the website makes them out to be.

Cheers,
TJ

Won't work. I am well aware that you can tag side by sides but that is a totally different registration than a regular vehicle registration. That registration is needed to run those things on state lands legally. You still cannot Legally run them on the road. Key word here is "Legally".When I lived in Pa. we tagged our dune buggies, regular tube frame buggies with paddle tires and we were allowed to run them on the road. The stipulation was that you HAD to be going to or from a gas station or campground from an off road area. Yea right! Some of the guys up there had id engine buggies and they would bolt on a set of sticky road tires and those things would haul arse out on those mountain roads. They drove them everywhere. Same old story, eventually people got tired of dodging the buggies on the road and there were a lot of accidents due to the fact that most of the off road buggies did not have front brakes. So in the end, abuse of a good thing brought the end of that privilege.
