HAMMERS !!!!

Unread post by SEABEE62 » May 7th, 2019, 10:58 am

OK, Its been brought to my attention that some of you thought you had bigger hammers than mine, so put up or get out of the way ! SEABEE's normal size hammer is 32 oz....( when I was younger of course )...we could drive a 16d nail in one swing too ! We opened up our beer bottles with the claw end too. 8) Great for pounding out those Mutt dings ..... Seabee

As far as construction hammers you got me beat, 16-20 were my favorites. Now as far as brute force, As I posted on another thread I think you will have trouble beating this one. Somewhere around 60 lbs.

Hey Seabee. I was in Cape last weekend but didn't call you. I was at the Eastern District Trackmeet all day Saturday.

Seabee, I wonder what Sigmund Freud would have to say about your obsession with the size of hammers :?

I can remember as a test of strength was hold the sludge hammer at the end of the handle, raise your arm to the horizontal position, at the same time hold the hammer in the same plane.

You forgot the last part of that hammer stunt, you had to hold the hammer arm out, hammer straight up and let the hammer down SLOWLY and touch your nose with out without bending your elbow and then bring it back to straight up. I was able to do that up into my 50's until my shoulders blew out. Saw many a broken nose and smashed face from those wannabes!
