Re: OFF TOPIC: CUCV Blazer Wanted
Did you tell him there'll never be a better time to buy a HMMWV?
Re: OFF TOPIC: CUCV Blazer Wanted
Well, at least with a CUCV he won't get hassled trying to get it licensed.....

Re: OFF TOPIC: CUCV Blazer Wanted
Matt, any around KC ? my buddy does not care if it runs or not. No rust buckets. I have seen two of them close to me, but they are rotted out.
Re: OFF TOPIC: CUCV Blazer Wanted
It is going to be next to impossible to find a 35 year old blazer that is not rusted out. Especially a military one. Any that are still in good condition are going to be bringing top dollar, as in twice what they cost when new!

Re: OFF TOPIC: CUCV Blazer Wanted
Like Rick said, rust was built into the M1009 CUCV Blazers. You can hear them rusting as you walk up to one. They do get awesome fuel mileage.

Re: Bought a M-1009
Thats a tall order. These guys are gonna want to see pics of magnets on body panels, chief. In this case, I doubt they will approve the use of super glue.
Re: Bought a M-1009
If you bought a diesel Blazer from So-Cal then it was not cheap, or even close. Even if it is rusty it would not be cheap because the off roaders would have snatched it right up. Yup, I want to see pictures and especially since you threw that little snark in our faces. We still remember YOUR last purchase!

Re: Bought a M-1009
When you go to register it, be ready to explain the J(?) in the VIN. I had to do that here and the lady was happy to finish up the title. Also if it has the original floor mats, I recommend pulling them out. That's what my motor Sgt did. Soldiers would wash the interior and soak the mats and then rust. When I pulled mine out I was lucky and just a few rust holes.
Sold the truck and have a few spares I can part with.

Yes there are and I plan to find out why. When I answer a post I am reading the original so I seriously doubt I would have made that comment about So-Cal if it was not mentioned.acudanut wrote:Couple posts missing or deleted ??? Must be, because nowhere on here does it say it is from California.??

Yes Sir, those floor matt's hold water. We will rip those off first thing. Again, this is not my M-1009.

Salt6, I really know what you mean "When you go to register it, be ready to explain the J(?) in the VIN. I had to do that here and the lady was happy to finish up the title"
