I've struck the parts motherload!

Unread post by Legio3Arty » July 24th, 2016, 11:10 pm

Last week I took a little road trip to buy an M142 cradle for my pedestal mount and some demolitions gear. The guy was cleaning out the house where he grew up and he still had piles of old 151 parts in the cellar. I gathered up my lunch money and went back to buy a tow bar and anything else that I might need to finish my 67, and he wound up giving me practically everything I could haul. I had to make two trips just to carry everything in my little Hyundai. I've spent the last two days sorting through it all trying to figure what all is there. Sadly some items suffered moisture damage as you might expect after thirty plus years in a basement, but most of the valuable stuff was kept dry. Lots of NOS parts including an A1 windshield, a slave cable kit, and a box of solid state ignition kits. Some of the rarer goodies are an A1 rear seat bracket and in-tank fuel pump. The used/takeoffs are pretty good too including a couple 25 amp generators, a 60 amp alternator, steering column/box, and one of those elusive fording cables. There's also a box full of smelly canvas that has an early A2 top, with side curtains and multiple sets of doors. When I finish sorting out and cleaning it all up, I will probably be putting the stuff I don't need, that includes all the A2 stuff up for sale. happy hunting!

I'd be interested in the early A2 canvas top, sides and doors...

I would be interested in electronic ignition parts as well.

I'd be interested in the steering box and column if it's for an A1.
