some Top Tigers get together

last week some guys that flew together with me in the 68th Assault Helicopter Company in VN in 1968 got together for dinner at my place in central florida. My M151 in our unit markings was a big hit!Image

Hey Top! I bet no war stories were told that evening. After seeing your Mutt they will be having flashbacks for weeks. I bet a good time was had by all, very cool.

I'm sure it was good to see old friends.

My father in law was in the 173rd AHC until July '68. As far as I know, there was only one guy he kept in touch with after he got back. He was a door gunner on a Huey gunship.

He passed away in May '04. Even up until he passed away, he loved the sound of gun fire. We went to the Knob Creek machine gun shoot a couple times and he would just chuckle when they let loose with a 500 round can from the mini gun.

I am guessing that is you by the right headlight? If so you have just about the same expression as n the pic from Viet Nam with the VC.

Yeah that's me the guy in the hawaiian shirt, no beard or grey hair! still confused and scared silly!
those other old guys must be over 60 by now {;} !!!}
