Was that the 2 stroke that earned the name "Wobblesaki"?

Probably, the rest of the bikes wasn't fast enough to wobble  , with me at 100 lbs., it was a Norton and Honda killer in the 1/4 mile. I have a 500 triple that I'm restoring, the 750 triple was definitely a widow maker. My 350 was stolen out of our barn in 2001, never recovered. :x

I would guess you did get some funny looks! A white guy with an afro most black guys would be envious of!     I need to show that pic to a buddy of mine I worked with. He was an extremely skinny black guy with a HUGE afro back in the 70's and he told me that he actually was blown over several time by the wind but all his buddies though he was cool! He showed me a picture and it was about the same thing, skinny guy with HUGE hair. Thankfully I did not have really curly hair so mine was just long.
On the Kawasaki kick, I had a 74 H2 that I bought in 76 and that bike was scary. it was a dog until about 5,000 rpm and all of a sudden it took off. They were rated at around 75 horsepower and a top speed of 120 mph. I don't know about the horsepower but the speed was way off base and probably stated as such for insurance purposes. I had mine up close to 150 on several occasions. When you look at more modern bikes that put out close to 200 horsepower these were wimps but back then compared to the 40-50 horse machines they were rockets. And on old technology bias ply skinny tires, it was a wild ride.

Those H2 750's were bad a##, 120MPH? ,my 350 would do 115, not sure how correct the speedo's were back then. I still own a speed demon, 2004 1st gen ZX10R, over 100mph 1st gear before redline, computer shut down at 187, not anymore with the power commander. Me and my son both survived this bike over the years, it has about 12,000 on the clock now, just sits idle in the shop now that I can't control my right wrist.

I never got into the crotch rockets, A guy at work had one, don't even remember if it was a Kawi or a Suzuki but it was a 1,000 with a stage three kit on it and he was getting ready to put nitrous on it. He insisted I take it for a ride. He said to drop down to first and lay into it at about 55 so I did. Yea, that got the heart going!!! It stood up on the rear wheel a bit and started spinning the tire at the same time. Anyone that has ever done that knows what the "Dance" is. It is where you are doing a hundred plus on the rear tire which is smoking and dancing side to side. When I came back he looked at me and said "You did it didn't you?" He could tell by the fact that my knees were still shaking. I have raced everything that runs under it's own power with the exception of street bikes. I have an aversion to crashing at high speed and not having a cage around me. Yup, I am a pussy.
But I got revenge, at that time I still had my 16 foot alcohol powered big block, supercharged boat. After he razzed me about the bike I offered him a ride and he couldn't say no. Well. let's just say he never razzed me again and we agreed that to each his own on choice of speed. That little boat would do 146 MPH,I was only at 110 that day and when we stopped he jumped out into the creek. I asked what he was doing and he said flushing his shorts.

Picked up another barn find today, 1972 Honda SL175, it's in good shape for 50 years old.

That would be handy for putting around the shows but I rode one when they were new and it barely was able to pull me around. I was 210 then and 215 now so I doubt it would be any better. Difference being, back then I could pick it up and press it over my head many times.      Now if it falls over I would have a hard time picking it up off the ground!.

A friend of mine has been looking for one of these for 5 years. He found this one. The Holy Grail of vintage
motocross bikes!

I never had a Maico but I did ride one belonging to a teammate and it was fast, and light. That was a winning combination. Thankfully it was his personal bike and he was not running it in our races, Since it was the same unlimited class and it would have been tough to beat in the right hands.

Great bike! Not only because that’s exactly what I had for many years when young.

I had a 250 with around 40 horses and 110kg. Front wheel did not touch the ground until shifting to 4th gear

My dad let me race some starting back in 1970, we had a local track and races were held on Sundays, so a lot of times church came first. I remember we called them the rich kids when they showed up with a Husqvarna, CZ, Penton, Maico or Bultaco. Us poor kids were riding stripped down enduros with knobby's and a number plate, loved the smell of those 2 strokes though. :D
