gas tank floor
Looking for the floor section under the gas tank on an A2. I'm thinking maybe someone on here might have removed this from a wrecked tub. I can hope can't I? Please e-mail me at dcampb18 @sbcglobal.net (remove space)
Thanks

Re: gas tank floor
If all else fails consider taking the bottom of a gas tank and use to make a new bottom.
Its simpler than forming sheet stock .

Re: gas tank floor
I have heard several people say this but the floor is a shallower radius than the tank, and wider than the tank and longer than the tank. Seems to me that there would be more modification involved than if you just started from scratch.

Re: gas tank floor
I was going to do that but my tank was too far gone. I can make it if I have to. I was just thinking I would see if somebody might of had some wrecked tubs that had a floor saved. Wishful thinking, or dreaming I guess.

Talk to Vin Zike on this board.
Think he was in the middle of just doing that job.
It saves a lot of tin knocking.

Re: gas tank floor
By the way Hambone on this board had NOS tank pars available.
That may be a good resource.
