Don't they give them ( titles ) away in Georgia or Ark ??? I heard a bill of sale will work on getting a title in those states. Just a thought. Seabee

Selling titles is illegal and attracts unwanted attention to the hobby. PM Moose, he knows he legal route to take.

M151-LC,
I obtained a title for my M151 A2 in Texas, (San Antonio, Bexar County). Go to the Tax Office for your county with all your info and pictures of the vehicle. Ask for the Title Issue person and present all your stuff. They should have you fill out a state form for Title Issue, (available online at the TxDot website) and schedule you for a hearing by the panel (three clerks here in San Antonio, didn't know anything about MVs, just pulled them from the office somewhere). They will ask you some questions and look at the photos. At that time they will probably issue you the title. There is no listing for the M151 family in the State Computer System, so they listed mine as a Jeep, and the class was light truck. (Note: Do not get too involved with your description of the M151, all they need to know is "truck", the younger guys at the office don't know anything anyway). Everyone at the office here was very helpful. After the title was issued, I registered the A2 as a "Military Vehicle" with no license plates, just the hood number. Or you can get an MV plate. Registration is good for five years and only $53.00. Let us know how it comes out. Good Luck

M151-LC,
Additional Info: Tax office also wants a picture of the serial number (whatever your going to use) and a pencil tracing of the serial number from the Dataplate. Hope this helps,
Cal
