They made A2's in 68 ?
Here's the kicker.. I believe it was made by Kaiser Jeep Corp. ??? Build date was 06-68.
I inspected it this AM. RUN, and I mean RUN.

I don't think so. I thought a2's began around 1970. I'm sure Guru will chime in. But still looks like a great deal to me on face value.

Being the undercarriage picture is the most important, there's usually a reason they don't share it.

Looks like a hamburger cut, or a really bad case of rust around the rear fender bases and door frame where it would be cut. Thing is this, with all the extras he is throwing in the price is not all that bad.

The Jeep is a rolling nightmare. It came from Florida, and looks to have sat in the ocean for 50 years. The weapons were crude, cheap replicas. The Jeep had no bones (frame) and it was, what they call hamburger cuts. Everything was patched with fiberglass and Hvac thin metal sheeting glued to the entire outer body. Then painted with tons of paint.
So, when did they first make the A2's.

The first A2 was 1970 and made by Ford. Ford made them in 70-71 and then AMG got the contract mid 71 for the 72 year.

Rick, Then why is there a 68, A2 Kaiser Jeep ?. It did have the A2 engine with the 3 belt system.
For the record, I agree with you. I just can't find anything on the web to back it up, as far as when the A2 came to life.

There is no A2 Kaiser Jeep.Where are you getting that info? From a repro data plate on that vehicle? Anyone can stamp anything they want on those plates. Send a PM to ken and he can send you the entire timeline on the 151. It used to be in our wiki but I have not been able to bring that back yet.

Here's what I remember for the sequence--1950's Willy made the 151, then Ford got the contract, then Kaiser, A1,(which was Willy renamed), then the A2s- Ford, then AMG. I have a document somewhere. My memory is fragmented LOL!!

Rick, I agree, it's actually a lot of value for the price, especially when you figure in the M416 which is included in the sale!

I don't think there is any value here. The 416 trailer had a after market bottom/floor in in it also. The VIN plate is bogus too.
