***SOLD*** 1966 M151A1 - runs & drives - CLEAN NC TITLE

Unread post by Bull Gear » March 20th, 2019, 9:29 pm

***SOLD***
I'm in the midst of the onerous task of disposing of a 30+ year collection of Jeep stuff and I thought I'd offer up all my M151 stuff in one package here.
I am located near Charlotte, NC
Link to a few pics... https://drive.google.com/open?id=1tHWL7 ... 4WwgTBt0K-

I have a 1/2-cut reweld 1966 Ford M151A1 that runs and drives and has a CLEAN NC TITLE.
It's a bit of a beater but runs good. Years ago I went through the entire undercarriage with new seals, bushings, bearings, balljoints, u-joints, brakes/hydraulics, exhaust, etc and made some structural repairs in the battery box area. It is still structurally sound but does have the usual rust.
Known issues:
- leak between trans and t'case
- no lights, never messed with them
- exhaust manifold leak
- sediment in tank that will clog the filter after a few hours
- front right brake is a bit grabby
Rear seat and bikini top also included.

Included in the package is another M151A1 rust bucket roller with good motor and a big truck load of parts, some NOS. It's basically all the parts I could salvage from two demilled front halves and swap meet stuff I picked up here and there. I'm trying to work up a detailed list.
Just a few of the highlights;
- 2 more motors (1 good, 1 disassembled core) + 1 good trans/tcase
- a few trans/tcase, differentials, axle shafts, driveshafts, spindles
- really nice complete windshield assembly
- 2 easily repairable A1 fuel tanks
- heater kits
- pedals and controls
- really nice radiator assembly
- generator & regulator
- couple Zenith carbs
- ignition parts
- 2 front subframes
NOS parts include:
- complete large underbody rust repair kit
- complete set of brake shoes and wheel cylinders
- complete set of wheel bearings and seals
- canvas rear seat assembly
- front seat bottom cushions
- carburetor
- windshield bottom seal
- clutch
- steering wheel
- wiper motors
etc, etc, etc...
I came up with about $6000 worth of parts at the going rate, but I didn't account for a lot of the stuff.

This is a LOT of stuff. Most of the small parts are already boxed and loaded into a 6x12 enclosed trailer. Then there will be another truck bed full of hard parts and the 2 MUTTs. I may be able to help with delivery of it all.

Asking $4500 for the whole lot. I'll try to check back here, but it would be best to call/text me 704.793.3507
Thanks for looking.

It might not count for much, but I'll vouch for Tony. I've known him for over 30 years.

The only problem I see is that you may have 5,000 worth of parts and a beater for 1500.00 but that is retail price and you are selling this basically as a wholesale lot. I can't see the average M 151 owner buying all of this stuff to hoard away in their garage for future use. Even I am not THAT bad!

If you want to get the max for the lot start sellling them individually:
If you dont want that then make an accurate inventory and post that.
You may get bids but not necessarily what you expect.
Do it all the time but too far away for me.
Just some thoughts from an old man.

Ask and ye shall receive. Link to list below. I came up with about $6000 worth of parts if sold piece by piece. I am not doing that. I did not account for a lot of stuff. And no, I do not expect to get that much for it as a lot. I'm hoping some builder/parts peddlar out there may relieve me of my burden.
Concerning the MUTT... do nearly complete, restorable, running and driving, M151A1s that have already had the undercarriage rebuilt and have a CLEAN TITLE show up for sale often in the $1500 price range? I don't recall seeing any in recent history, but then again, I haven't been in the scene much lately.
And don't forget about the parts truck that has a lot of good parts, including motor.
I will consider splitting it up. I really want this stuff gone. Make an offer. You may get lucky.

If you decide to sell some individuals, I would take the coils and a few other items. Hambone
