I found that San Diego no title M151A2 listed on MILWEB.net,

http://www.milweb.net/classifieds/view_ ... 794&cat=13

Currently asking 5500, so 500 more than the CL listing. "Runs and drives well, new brakes"

UPDATE since posted:

The link on MILWEB is accurate. The poster just called, identified himself as the same name with same number as listed on that site.

No title, not much rust beneath, some upper panel rust, needs batteries. Said he uses a DMV title service to register vehicles. Truck is located in northern San Diego county.

So technically no title. Unless someone has title in hand I consider it a no title vehicle, especially as hard as it is getting to get titles for military vehicles nowadays. Doesn't he realize that if he has a title he automatically adds several hundred dollars value to the vehicle? If it is so easy to get then get one!

And the welded on chain link for security, from what I hear Alaska is not exactly the most secure state in the country even though EVERYBODY carries! I would rather have the vehicle parked next to it.

One of my brothers lives on the outskirts of Anchorage. He's had (2) trucks broke into over the past several years and was just telling me how he has a storage unit with a parking area just down the road from his house and he doesn't dare leave his truck there for fear of being stolen. Main driver of crime - drugs... Sad state of affairs...

That's that A2 that was originally posted on the San Diego craigslist.

Correct on the San Diego A2. The price fluctuates between 5k and 5.5 k depending on the ad site being used. The milweb ad has phone and email, and when I sent a message, he called back on that listed number.

That second one has a red flg on it that is interesting. Maybe Ken can give some info on it. It is listed as a 1970 Ford A2 but does NOT have the straight across fenders. Red flag #one. It has side panel scuppers for floor drainage, red flag #2. And it has ROPS which was not put in A2's until after 72 I believe. BUT, It does have a BUDD tag on the cowl?
So WHAT do we have here?

The driver side rear side panel is 151, the passenger side is A2. Interesting.
