Re: Uncut project
Looks like a nice project, but I'd need to see some good pics of the bottom!
Re: Uncut project
Looking through the holes in the floor it looks like it sat outside and the floor rotted but the frame rails look good. At least in that section. Not 7500.00 worth of good though!!! It is uncut and nice and straight so 5,000 is not out of the question if it runs, drives and stops.

Re: Uncut project
Ohio puts it in the $700 - $800 transport range to me, and without seeing it, I'd need to be in it for $3000 - $3500....
And that's not taking into account promising my spousal unit that I would stop adding to the motor pool.

Re: Uncut project
You guys just don't know, but when she wants a new $50k car, it's all good, been dealing with it 32 yrs., you knowing the saying, "beg for forgiveness, don't ask for permission" , the last statement I heard was "if you don't sell that car hauling trailer, we are getting a divorce", she's such a comedian , actually, I have a good one that puts up with a me.
Re: Uncut project
Well let's think rationally about this. With a divorce you would have one less mouth to feed and a lot less in the way of housecleaning stuff to worry about. And no more 50K cars! MORE MONEY FOR MORE JUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Boy you and especially I had better hope she never see's this!

Re: Uncut project
a lot of money for a not very well maintained truck. I judge a jeep by how well the engine bay looks and this one is just not nice there. And a lot of crap hanging and bolted on the jeep too.Hambone wrote:This one is worth $12k, and it a ????

Re: Uncut project
That almost slipped by me...... What is that? It looks like an Encore with A2 front fenders????? Nice job. With the back configured like an M151 and the back seat in place, you can't see the tailgate. Interesting vehicle. This one is worth $12k, and it a ????

Re: Uncut project
Definitively an Encore. I am not so sure Encore did not do that with the fenders at one point because I have seen several like that now. If I read that ad right it sold for $15,000! I wonder if the buyer actually thinks it is a real A2?

Re: Uncut project
It was listed at $12,000 and ended with no bids. May have sold later????
Clearly misleading. It is shown as an "AM General, Vietnam era Military Jeep". Nothing in the ad tells a buyer it is not a real M151A2.

Re: Uncut project
Coming at it from my perspective....
First, consider what you won't have to do to it because, as we all know, by the time you that in, a project can get a LOT more expensive. You're just paying on the "installment plan" at that point.
