OUCH! That's gonna be sore, epson salt, was that your good finger?
Well, Lets just say it is a well used finger for expressing myself in certain circumstances. Actually the same one I smashed and broke about 6 years ago.

Re: Rick's smashed finger

I have mentioned in the past my disdain for most cheap Chinese tools. Ratchet straps fit into that category but I don't think you will find any American made ones. The ratchet section let go on this one as I was releasing it. If you have a ratchet strap that is tight be sure to wear good gloves when...

Re: Battery powered impact wrench

I can tell you that Dewalt is the top of the heap but it is sort of like Snap-On, you are paying a Premium for the name. You can get their earthquake brand at Harbor Freight for 269.00 for the 1/2" and 279.00 for the 3/4". I am probably going to get the 3/8" model for 169.00. Keep in mind these pric...

Re: Fuel line length A2

My best advise would be to take a piece of string and tape it to the tank on the other side from the line and draw mark on the string where the line meets the tank fitting. Then run the the line aolng the gas line following all of the bends and when you get to the point where it goes through the flo...

The PayPal address is rickf@g838.org. Send to friends and family to avoid fees. Any donations are greatly appreciated and wil...

Re: Site Donation

Ok, The account has been tested and is working. The Paypal address for site donations is rickfg838.org . Do this through friends and family so there is no service charge. Any amounts are appreciated and most of it is going to go towards the recent upgrades and updates and IT fees.

Re: Site Donation

I have set up a paypal account for donations....................... I think. That is a screwed up system to try to get going, especially when you are talking about handling money!! I am waiting for Hambone to send me a test donation to make sure it works before I announce it and put up the details. ...

Re: Harbor Freight Jack Stand Recall

Great! I had a set of them, still do actually, and one of them failed dropping my motorhome. Thankfully the tire was still on at the time so it did not go far but I could see it was junk right then and there. Then I started looking at all of their other stands and they are ALL made exactly the same ...

I think they still had straights there when I was there in 71.I don't remember seeing turn signals on some of them and I always remember how that caught my attention. They did not take them out of service if they still ran and moved. Sometimes I think stopping was optional.I never rode in them, I fl...

Ken, They are stored on the site but not in a file like a gallery that can be easily accessed. I will be working on the gallery in the future. From what I can tell memory is not going to be an issue. The hosts are not the easiest people to work with. They are damn near impossible to work with actual...

Re: No fuel to the carburetor

Do you have access to a hand held vacuum pump? Like the one for bleeding brakes or checking various vacuum accessories? If you do then hook that to a section of clear tubing and the tubing to the line from the tank and pull about 34" of vacuum on it. You should get gas pretty quickly. Try not to let...

Re: Unknown military item

I had one of them and it finally made it to the scrap pile. It was seized and rusted and in rough shape. I asked all around to make sure nobody wanted or needed anything from it before it went. I try to save anything and everything but there some things that are just too far gone.
