Re: M151 Completed Project

Very nice! I don't know why he would say to start with a less molested core, if those pics on the trailer and the one in the garage with the rear extension were what you started with that was an EXCELLENT core!! Much better than what most of us have start with. Looks like it had no rust on it.

Re: Dust boots for pivots

If the prototypes are not going to be tested then they should be returned. Otherwise it is considered free parts and that is probably why he is pissed.

Re: new post updates

Under the "new posts" section the old posts will show for a while after being viewed but they should not be in bold after viewing. They generally stay up for 3-4 hours. I go back there occasionally to see what was posted that I may have missed. If you want them to disappear right away use the "unrea...

Re: Dust boots for pivots

I really do not like hearing this! We have a company that was willing to give us a product and all we needed to do was some simple testing. This goes back at least 10 months and three, maybe four people and no report back to the company. I would not blame them for saying the hell with it. Our loss.

Re: new post updates

We did a lot of work on the site last night. That may have something to do with it. I just went back and clicked on it again and yours is gone now that I looked at it. See if this continues and if it does let me know.

Ok gang, the avatars are fixed. Surveyor, we could not fix yours, you may have changed things? The header panel now shows where in the forum you are again.

Re: M1 parts for sale

Can you hold on to these for me until I can get back to you later? I am going into a conference call with the IT guy to do some more work on the site here in about 3 minutes.

Re: Front end alignment ?

Nope, it is an A2 and it was mashed so hard it broke the mounting ears off of the rear differential. I never even looked at the control arms. The frame rails are bent down behind the rear crossmember. Yep, still have crusher and rustbucket in the back yard. IMG_20200511_161422935[1].jpg IMG_20200511...

Re: Front end alignment ?

I was looking at that picture of Mr. R's bent control arm and thinking of how that can happen and I think I know the answer. Also a couple other things to look at in the same light. These vehicles have eyes on the wheel hubs. They are called lifting eyes but I hear them called tie downs a lot. If th...

Re: Front end alignment ?

Looking in the -34P there are 2 different brackets for the left inner and left outer and two different brackets for the right inner and right outer. The manual does not state what the difference is so my best advice is to use matching pairs, right and left are one digit apart in either set of number...

Re: Front end alignment ?

Rick, I need to send you some pic's of my A2. The rear bows in like a older A1. Or so it seems. Hmm Not much I would be able to tell you from pictures. Very worn bushings will cause that or bent control arms. The control arm swings in a plane with the cross member so there should be no camber change...

Re: Front end alignment ?

I have never seen a spec but there should not be any toe in on the rear wheels. And from what you say you have 5/16" total toe on the rear! That would be far too much in the front let alone the rear. Something is bent or the bushings are gone completely. Front toe in should be in the vicinity or 1/1...

Re: M4 Riser Base

That could have been made by anyone with an Ironworker machine in their garage or even just a set of dies for bending metal in a 20 ton press. It is nothing more than 2 identical pieces. Now, how many people are really going to notice the bulge is missing other than someone who has whatever needed t...

Re: M4 Riser Base

Appears to be a repro, the original has a bulge in the drivers side vertical plate.
