Re: No fuel to the carburetor

Have you tried disconnecting the line from the carb and cranking it to see if you get gas out of the line? If not then disconnect the line that goes into the fuel pump ( I am assuming this is an A2 with the pump on the engine) and have someone crank it while you check to see if it pulls a vacuum on ...

Re: looking for an A2

Wait a minute? What happened with this quote from a ways back in this thread?

"still hanging on ....It won't take a lot of jeep to make me happy...thanks"

Come on, I am willing to bet you still have all of your old body tools don't you? Dust them off and limber up! Guy has all the panels you need.

Re: Site Donation

Ok guys, all noted and appreciated. I will need to do a bit of research into how I need to do this because I can't mix this with my personal accounts. And right now the banks are closed except for drive through so opening a new account is out. I could set up a Paypal account but I simply do not trust...

Re: G838 Manuals

If you want to learn about a REAL engine I have an original 1932 Ford repair manual for the flathead V8. Nobody wants these books anymore, anyone born after 2000 doesn't know how to read from paper anyway.  They don't understand you have to move your eyes, not your thumbs!!!

Re: G838 Manuals

I am going to put you on the staff! The only thing is the manual downloads from the site are SSL protected, I don't know about the stuff from Wayback?
I know Steel Soldiers has most of the manuals and if you are not a member there check out Pedro's. http://www.pedros.cz/mutt.php

You are correct! I just tried and they are not linking. I will bring this to the attention on my IT guy right away but it may be a few days before he gets to it. Thanks for pointing it out.

Re: Broken brake cylinder?

Ken, I looked through those old files and the only thing in the brake section is a warning about using the kit for an MB which looks similar. repair kit for master cylinder make sure when getting a master cylinder repair kit that it contains the correct size of the piston, compare the length of the ...

Re: Broken brake cylinder?

I have a new wiki up on the board but personally I have no idea how to set it up. With all the other things I have been doing that has taken a back seat. I do still have the info from the old wiki thanks to Surveyor.

Re: Dust boots for pivots

And THERE we have it, the info that was requested. Thanks Rossco. Louie, you would have been the perfect candidate for this test considering you spend most of your time underwater and mud but you weren't around when this all started. Hopefully the manufacturer follows through with these. Preferably ...

Re: Dust boots for pivots

I am not flogging anyone, I am just saying that if the testing is not going to be done in a timely manner the parts should be sent back. The supplier could then send them to someone, probably in Europe where they do a lot more driving of their vehicles, for testing. I say this from personal experien...
