Engine/Trans Mount Compessing

When doing routine maintenance on my A-1 i noticed that the transfer case now rests on the frame and that drain plug is now obstructed. I am thinking that this now transfers engine noise to the frame and adds to the overall symphony that these vehicles produce. My question is do the motor/trans mount...

2245 vs 2243 plugs

In going through my stock of plugs i notice that I have several 2243 plugs and although 2245 is recommended for the mutts ,I was wondering if I could start using them ,or is it too high of a heat range. Thanx and a Merry Xmas to all and especially our troops in harms way.

Re: Transfer case shift shaft oil seal

I believe these seals are the same as the ones used on the transfer case and hi-lo range shift shafts on the T-84 and T-90

Re: Replacing Cylinder Head

Hi Jay, Brant here...wish you lived closer, I would give you a new head....got a few take-offs, and as far as the exhaust gaskets, i have found if you replace the exhaust manifold then you dont need the exhaust gaskets. If you do put them in, your jeep wont start because of the intake leakage as the...

Muncie Tranny

While going through some parts I found I have an early Muncie Indiana transmission dated 1962,I was wondering how long they made tranny's for the 151 for and who else besides Muncie and Howa made tranny's for the Mutts. I was also curious if the Muncies were a good tranny?

Timing Issues

While trying to get my recently restored A-2 running properly, it would only run moderately well with the choke one third of the way out, but it backfired and gave poor performance. It was also overheating. I used to think you could set the timing by ear,you can.....but. I decided to take Rick's adv...
