Re: M100 trailer socket question. ID.

The link appears to go to the later, hard wired to the tongue umbilical cord, but I have sent an inquiry to them about the early dual plug connection cord. Will let you know. Also asked them about if it would be male/male 12 pin or male/female 12 pin. Perhaps that will answer my original question ab...

M100 trailer socket question. ID.

I know the M416 is the trailer of choice for the M151 series, but I've got a question about an M100 that might carry over. The early M100's had a seperate umbilical cord that connected the trailer to the vehicle. And, when not in use, would be stored in a front panel mounted box. The trailer socket ...

Re: Dead batteries

Learned all this with my golf cart. Cart charger would not kick on if the battery charge was so low it would not read. Paid for a tow and service charge to tell me this. So, when it happend again, I would hook up an old style charger and charge one or two of the batteries to get enough voltage to ki...

Re: Square Rearview mirror

Was the round mirror the early style and te square mirror the later style? I've got a round one on my A2 and a rectangular one on my A1, that's how they came. Are they backwards? I may have a rectangular mirror in the parts stash, don't know how good the mirror is, I'll check.

Re: How to fill heater hole in dash A1?

Just bringing some closure to this issue. Welded on a cover plate and installed the gun mount and it passed muster for the parade. I have two eyebolts for safety straps even though the drivers side is not used, so I"m going to attach my antenna hold down rope to those. Either tie a loop and jus...

Re: Exhaust pipe ?

I just cobbled up an issue with my exhaust leaking at the joint right after the crossover pipe before it meets the pre muffler pipe, right under the passenger seat floor. My old clamp was so bent up it never provided a good seal. Located an NOSS clamp in the parts bin and installed a new gasket and ...

Re: How to fill heater hole in dash A1?

Since I am painting the MUTT with the MERDC camo summer scheme, I went ahead and welded in a cover plate. First coat of Hunter Green is on and I'll install a rifle mount and then spray the second coat before letting cure and moving on to the other three colors.

How to fill heater hole in dash A1?

Trying to get the A1 ready for Veterans Day and prior to respray, I've got this space in my dash that I presume was a heater at one time. No heater in the parts stash, so rather than just tack weld a cover plate over everything, what are some options? Do they make a cover plate? Do I look at a non w...

Re: Looking into selling my Ford Mutt

I'm pretty sure the 1st Florida group of the MVPA is having their fall rally in a few weeks. I would think if you trailered it up there, you could get all the information, interest and advice you want and would probably come home empty trailer but $12k or so in your bank account. JMO.

Radio warning decal placement?

Have two radios and two antennas on the MUTT. Ordered this set of 5 decals/stickers for it. Seems like some I will need duplicates of and some I will only need one. No placement instructions and having trouble finding images on the internet. Any guideance as to the decal placement for this set? And,...

Re: Door Safety Strap Attachment?

That certainly explains why most vendors sell the straps as individual straps, not as pairs. Thanks for the quick response. I was getting ready to order a pair. Now, I only need one unless I add a loop to my seat, chich would involve cutting the seat back canvas or adding a loop to the dor opening o...

Re: Door Safety Strap Attachment?

Hmmmm...now I really get to show my ignorance. I have access to six MUTT seat frames. I thought they were universal as to drivers and passenger seat. But, of the six, five on them only have the loop for the strap welded to the passenger side of the seat frame. Even those installed as a drivers seat....

Door Safety Strap Attachment?

My A1 has the eyebolts at the front, but I can't feel any holes or an obvious area where the aft end of the door safety strap would attach. A special buckle like the MB/GPW? Or something I'm missing? Thanks in advance. Is there a date or model switch from canvas to nylon? I'm trying to be consistent...
