You should be pleased. Nothing works better than a little elbow grease and attention to detail. Very nice job.

Re: 81MM Mortar
Haha. I agree Rick. Is apparent he never worked recovery, military or civilian. Also apparent he didn’t attend schooling the Air Force gives prior to loading on their aircraft. I went to a three day course to load on C-130. Always amazes me to see so much effort put on tie down to keep from falling ...

Re: 81MM Mortar
That’s a fact on both counts. Round has to spin to arm it’s self. Still that was enough for me. To see last round on 3 gun come out on fire not good. I was base gun #2. Yes bipod is installed backward. Gunner needs to traverse and elevate. Owner wasn’t mortar trained. Just has some loose change to p...

81MM Mortar
I attended a meeting at a camp ground this past weekend of our club. First one since March. Had 60 members and wives in attendance. One brought his mortar. This weapon is what I went to AIT for. Brought back lots of memories. Just wanted to share. I fired Expert at AIT and four years following befor...

Re: VETERANS DAY 2020
Thanks for sharing the story Rick. This past March I was in rehab for a knee replacement. There were four of us veteran sat together in dining facility for each meal. One was a 95yr old WWII veteran. He would share a story each meal. Occasionally he repeated one but we always listened. I became very...

Had similar problems with same gauges. Was ground. I made a spider ground. Grounded each gauge on instrument panel. My problem solved.

Those are spit- shined leather boots. Not the ready made shine boots. Never had any of those made to shine.

This guy was at the rally. BDU’s and spit shined Corcoran jump boots. Uniform of 80’s until late 1998 at least. I know because I was wearing these uniforms during that time period myself.

More research on “National Symbol” the Star..... Tech Bulletin 746-93-1, 26 Oct 1964. Table A lists the size for stars. Section 11- National Symbol, sentence C, gives information of how and where to apply. Now this is where the discussion starts. A 20 inch Star on top of hood is obscured with windsh...

Re: Stars
I will check my research papers on the stars. I don’t recall the TM from memory, but I have the information. I do recall, the
star on top of hood...visible from the air, with windshield down. On M151 series that is a 12 inch star.
