Re: Found on CL - (Not Mine) 2017-18

Straight M151s did not have turn signals.

Here is a straight M151 in Tennessee, supposedly uncut but lacking data plates.

Re: M151A4

The M151 series only went to M151A2. There are no A3 or A4 M151s. Pictures would help. Perhaps this fellow has an ambulance or recoil-less rifle unit.

Re: Found on CL - (Not Mine)

The guy in Arizona is also trying to sell it sans a front passenger side brake assembly and spindle shaft. $15,200 is a little steep for a non-driving/rolling titan/encore. "When they were decommissioned by the military only 10,000 complete Mutts were released for sale as surplus. All the others tha...

It looks like the M151 is sitting in the bed of a trailer or a deuce. With all of the other stuff piled under it, I wonder if the wheel is resting on top of something.

Re: 12 volt conversion

Thank you to everyone for the replies, it has been awhile since I was on the forum and time really does fly. After lengthy deliberation and parts scavenging, I am still following through with the conversion. While there are many arguments, both for and against a conversion, I have decided that 12 vo...

M718 on Topeka Craigslist

Here is a nice example of a titled uncut M718 if anyone is in the market. The unit appears to have all of the ambulance equipment and even a radio set up. I know we'd all like to have one but I am just not in the market, I figured I'd pass it along to the members on here. https://kansascity.craigsli...

Re: 12 volt conversion

Thank you everyone for the ideas. I already have an electrical system that was hacked by the previous owner, so I have to completely redo everything. I plan on converting so the system will have easier parts to to find as a whole, not just for the bulbs.

Re: 12 volt conversion

It's more about ease of finding needed electrical parts; for better prices rather than saving on buying batteries. My MUTT is a m151a1 with an a2 engine and windshield.

Re: 12 volt conversion

Thank you everyone for the ideas. I don't have any plans for mounting radios, so 24 volts isn't needed for that. I had planned on converting to 12 volts for the cost and the availability of the parts. The gauges and turn signal unit won't be too hard to replace, so I think I'll still go ahead with t...

12 volt conversion

I am converting my m151 to 12 volt. I plan to convert to an electronic ignition, and most of the conversion is switching bulbs. The difficulty I am having however, is finding a suitable 12 volt starter. Does anyone have any experience or ideas?
