Nice, thanks for sharing your rides with us. 8) If I were you I would just unscrew that top section of the Antenna and let the spring relax all winter.

I plan on it and should have done it BEFORE pulling in garage!

Re: Sunday 151 Ride - 2021

As of today the 2021 151 driving season is over. For the last couple of years I remove the top and take it for a ride. It's usually in the 40's. Today it was around 38 F and I bundled up (including my Cousin Eddie hat) and took my step son for a ride downtown. After dropping him off I did a 30 mile ...

Re: Mutt Broke Down Today

I take a pretty good amount of spare parts on trips. My thought on a half shaft has been that I could pull a front if a back one ever failed. Also agree with TJ's post.

Re: shifter boots

It's unstrapped on trails and I maintain my truck. I'm not concerned about a failure and having to rely on the e-brake.

Re: shifter boots

I was wondering if someone would ask! I welded the footman loops on and added the strap. As we put a lot of miles on the truck, I try to eliminate any additional noise if possible. This was done to stop the e-brake handle which drove me nuts and I'd constantly find myself putting my hand on it to ma...

Re: shifter boots

The shift boot has a lip and the fwd stick is sandwiched between the trans cover and fwd cover.

Re: Coil autopsy

I was looking through my 151 parts stash and came across this distributor. I'm pretty sure this is out of my '68 A1. The odometer has 7,800 ish miles on it and when tearing engine apart, it appeared to be very low milage. Well, the internals of this bad boy look pretty darn good to me. I'll take thi...

Re: CMD Body Panels

A1 tail light bucket. Obviously not welded but this should be acceptable. I didn't want to invest in special tooling for the tail light wires bulge. Will do a few minor tweaks but nothing major. As I remember there is a deflector bracket that covers this as well. 20211112_114128.jpg 20211112_114137....

Re: CMD Body Panels

Test pieces for A2 rear crossmember were formed up today. A few minor adjustments but it's close. The contoured edge for the tail light mount will be stitched welded on. Those pieces were "lost in the mail". Should have tomorrow. Also have the A1 tail light mount at programming. 20211110_1...
