Dan

Man, if you could go back in time and sort of non-challantly back up to that trailer and drive off with that car, think of what it would be worth today :!:  8)

You ran the Gran Prix!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE THE MAN!!!
I have raced damn near everything that moves but I never came close to that caliper of cars. I did work at a Porsche restoration place so I got to drive some of them but never on a closed coarse. BTW, I like the tilt trailer, very high tech!

 YES! and I was the big weiner. not on a PFC's pay! Porsche and Ferrari were Kings of the track back then. I was 1/2 owner (for about 2 weeks) of a 58 Porsche with one of my army friends till he hit a tree with it. :( I did own a 1962 XKE Jaguar back in 67 after I got out of the army, had it up to 130 MPH on the Kansas turnpike on a trip to Colo. in 68, too fast! it had 160 on the speedo.

I also had a 1955 T-Bird :D

On a sad note. I just had a basement flood and have lost all of my photo abulms from my Army years, 1974-77. Trips to Germany and Reforger, Ft. Riley and various schools. All gone.

The sump pump failed in the middle fo the night, 8 inches of water the next day. Boxes down on the floor after we had searched for some papers and had not gotten around to putting them back up and so they got soaked. Had an old foot locker that we found after we had pumped out the basement, it still had almost 8 inches of water in it. Pretty tight fit on the joints I guess. Photo albums swimming inside.

Also had a lot of military gear damaged. Those are the breaks.
