Re: Ricks Restore
Nope, That didn't do it. The letters on the turn signal do not jive with the letters on the light switch and none of them jive with the wires I have. I have tracked down what I have just not how to wire it. This is what they used when converting from the old mechanical flasher to the newer electronic unit. I can't even troubleshoot it by the manual because the manual has nothing about how to hook it up. I have checked every manual out there. Fil Bonica has the procedure for the conversion but he has to mail it to me. One of the problems with VOIP phone is no fax.

Rick, it took me a couple hours of metering and trial & error. I couldn't find anything either. Here it is.rickf wrote:I need wiring help, FAST!!!!
I am trying to hook up my turn signals and the wiring makes no sense, I have the wires from the main harness marked A, B, H, J, K, L. The wires from the signal switch are the normal light numbers 22, 406, 461, 460-22, 461-22, 461-461.
I did not write down the numbers when I pulled it apart for a broken controller.

Thank you sir, the beer is on me! I did not see I or an F. I am assuming that what I see as an H may be an F but I clearly have an L. Is that what you have listed 4th one down?cstaup wrote:Rick, it took me a couple hours of metering and trial & error. I couldn't find anything either. Re: Ricks Restore
That's what I read, I had the old distribution controller as well. Boy you should have seen all the screwed up signals as I was doing this.

Re: Ricks Restore
OK gang, got it figured out. Dug out the jumper wires and the meter and just started testing. I had two "B" wires coming from the main harness which did not help matters. Here is what I came up with in case anyone else runs into this.
B = 460-22
L = 461
J = 460
A = 461-22
B = 22
K = 461-22
Cstaup, I had a B instead of a F for the 460-22 and an L for the 461.
I guess it was up to private Bubba what went where when the job was done.

Almost there, I think I am going to make it!
Weld on the rail, axe holder and footman loop. Put on the windshield, trans cover and seats. wash out, add top and done.

The funny part here is that I hear more noise on the video than I do listening to the engine.
This has been a rather tough rebuild. I have done every thing you see by myself with nothing more than simple body tools and a grinder and a mig welder. I think I have pushed myself harder on this job than any in the past and I will not do it again. I have torn rotor cuffs in both shoulders and I have aggravated them to the point that I can not lift either arm above chest level. My back is screaming for mercy! I think you will see pictures just like last year at Aberdeen but a lot more beer! This is one of the few times I will drink and the fact hat the wife is going this year means I can just leave the mutt at Diamondjims site and she can drive the truck and me to the hotel. I EARNED it.

Awesome! Your efforts reflect Rick! She looks really good. Off topic, I noticed in one of the recent photos a locking device on the kill switch. Did you make that or is that something alot of you guys are using (something a guy could purchase)?
