Getting power to the AM-2060 Power Supply

Unread post by retiredpara » October 23rd, 2014, 10:53 pm

Okay commo types,
I am looking at acquiring a AM-2060 Power Supply/Audio Amplifier to mount a PRC-25 in.
I am GTG on everything from the -2060 to the antenna tip.
What I am fuzzy about is how to get power to the unit itself.
Clue me in.

The short answer is that it gets power from the MT-1029 mount which itself gets power via a CX-4720 cable which attaches directly to the batteries.

If you want to look at an example in your area, I can get you in contact with one of our East Wind guys down there in Springfield who has a A1 that is fitted for radios.

Thanks to both of you gents!
I usually do a search and didn't do it this time...
EDIT: I had actually looked at that page Salt, but it still left me scratching my head!
Aswayze: That would be great! If no for other reason than to meet another '838er in our area. I think my buddy 42gpw has a working unit also. Did not think to simply ask him...You know us dumb Grunts!
